How do I pause, switch, or cancel my subscription or membership?
What’s Happening:
You’d like to update your subscription membership but aren’t sure where to go. You can pause, switch, or cancel your membership but first, we need to know where you subscribed. Modifying your subscription depends on where you originally subscribed. Website subscriptions can be managed in your account, while app store subscriptions must be cancelled through your phone’s settings.
🤔 Where did you subscribe?
First, we need to identify how you originally signed up for your membership to show you the correct cancellation method.
🔧 Step-by-Step Solution
1. 🌐 For Website Subscriptions
for memberships purchased directly through thesophiacode.org
Go to thesophiacode.org/my-account/
Scroll down to “Subscriptions” in the left menu
Find your active membership and click “Cancel” if you wish to end your membership
Confirm cancellation – you’ll retain access until your current billing period ends
From this screen you can also upgrade or downgrade your membership (see the highlighted button at the bottom of the screenshot)
💡 TIP: Your membership remains active until the end of your current billing cycle, so you won’t lose immediate access.
2. 📱 Apple Store Subscription (Apple iOS)
For memberships purchased through iPhone/iPad or the Apple App Store
Open the settings on your iPhone or iPad
Click the top box on the Settings screen where your name appears (you’ll see text that might say “Apple ID, iCloud, or Media Purchases”)
On the next screen, click “Subscriptions”. This will take you to a list of your paid subscriptions through Apple.
Scroll through your paid subscriptions until you find ours, “The Sophia Code App”

3. 🤖 Google Play Subscription (Android)
Open the Google Play Store on your Android
Ensure you’re signed into the correct Google Account
Tap Menu > Subscriptions
Select the subscription to cancel, look for “The Sophia Code App”
Tap Cancel Subscription
Follow the instructions on the screen

4. 🧑💻Web Portal of The Sophia Code App
If you signed up to our service through our Web platform, the steps beneath will help you cancel your subscription:
Click Settingsat the bottom of the left hand side menu.
Click Cancel Subscription.
Confirm that you wish to cancel the subscription in the pop-up window that appears.
Click Return to Profile from the pop-up that confirms your cancelled subscription.
Additional Notes:
No Partial Refunds: Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then.
Pausing vs Cancelling: If you subscribed via TheSophiaCodeFoundation.org website, you have the option to “Pause” your membership instead of cancelling.
App Store Limitations: We cannot cancel or refund app store subscriptions – only Apple/Google can process these requests.
Confirmation Email: You’ll receive an email confirmation once your cancellation is processed.
Community Access: After cancellation, you can still access our free Community Forum and monthly prayer calls.
