It’s taken decades for me to become the woman that you see today. I spent almost twenty-five years feeling incredibly alone in my healing journey.

The atrocities that I survived made it extremely challenging to feel safe in my body or to feel close to anyone. Also, it often felt impossible to find practitioners who were experienced enough to help me put myself back together.

It took years of relentless inner work to carefully unravel the intricate web of emotional, mental, and physical pain resulting from a complex post-traumatic stress disorder. There were many days, months, and even years of my life that were crippled by hyper-vigilance and anxiety.

As a fellow survivor, I understand how you may feel like giving up in your recovery, because I have felt that way too.

Today I am 48 years old — still healing but also thriving. I have learned a tremendous amount about what it takes to embody self-care, self-love, and self-compassion — and I want to share with you the hard-earned wisdom that I’ve discovered along the way.
